Alia Chand is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist who frequently focuses on photography as a medium for conveying her artistic vision. Whether focusing on the nature and architecture around her, styling and editing professional product photography shots, or creating portraits of herself and others, Alia brings an intrinsic artistic eye to her work that is clear throughout her portfolio.
Alia spent her childhood enamored with photography, taking every course available throughout her adolescence before deciding to pursue the medium academically and professionally during her time at the University of Southern California. During her high school years in Dallas, Texas, Alia worked for her high school’s two media outlets, the arts and literature-focused Vibrato Literary Magazine and the Hockaday Fourcast, creating art and shooting photos of events around campus for the two organizations. Alia has won numerous photography competitions, and earned the prestigious Joan Folsom Award in Photography during her senior year of high school. Alia additionally worked for Chemical Guys as a media and photography intern in the spring of 2023, styling, shooting, and editing product photography and in-use photographs for the company in a traditional studio setting.
Currently, Alia is enrolled at the University of Southern California’s Roski School of Art and Design and Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and is a Dean’s List scholar pursuing a double major in Art (Photography) and Communication.
